MerchAdsPro does not gather or process any of your information on its own servers. The information gathered (e.g. sales data) is used locally, on your own computer and solely for the core functionality of MerchAdsPro. This data is not transferred to external services/servers.
What information is being stored, or accessed?
- Sales Data:MerchAdsPro temporarily stores your sales data locally when you load the extension or change the reporting period or marketplace. This improves performance by reducing the need to re-download sales data each time you switch views.
- Campaigns Data:MerchAdsPro temporarily stores your campaigns data locally when you load the extension or change the reporting period or marketplace. This improves performance by reducing the need to re-download sales data each time you switch views.
- Settings:Your preferences are saved in Chrome's IndexDB storage locally on your computer.
Creating an account at MerchAdsPro requires providing personal details such as your name, email address, and password, necessary for account setup and access.
Payment Information
For payment processing, we use Stripe (stripe.com). During transactions, Stripe may ask for personal details like your name, address, email, and credit card information. Stripe's privacy policy, available at Stripe's Privacy Terms, governs their data handling. MerchAdsPro is not responsible for Stripe's practices.
Where is my information being stored?
- LocalStorage:- Keeps sales data on your device for quick access.
- IndexedDB:- Stores structured data for better performance.
MerchAdsPro stores data using Chrome's LocalStorage and IndexedDB, which are built-in browser storage systems accessible via the WebExtensions API.
This data stays on your device and is not uploaded to external servers. MerchAdsPro cannot access your computer’s file system or store anything outside of Chrome’s provided storage.
Can I delete all information stored by MerchAdsPro?
Yes. You can simply remove the extension and all data saved by MerchAdsPro will be deleted.
Data accessible through WebExtensions API
MerchAdsPro uses WebExtension APIs with fine-grained permissions enforced by Chrome. This means the extension can only access the information you explicitly grant permission for.
- No tracking –MerchAdsPro does not and cannot track your browsing history.
- Restricted access –The extension only interacts with the data necessary for ad performance tracking.

What services/sub-processors do you use?
- MerchAdsPro (Free) –We do not use any external services.
- MerchAdsPro (Pro) –Stripe API – Used to validate your license and confirm your active subscription. Only your license key is sent to Stripe—no other data is transferred.
Is my data secure?
Your data is stored locally using Chrome's LocalStorage and IndexedDB. It can only be accessed if someone has direct access to your computer and uses specialized tools. However, sensitive data (e.g., login credentials) is encrypted, making it unreadable even in such cases.
Data in Transit - All communication between your browser and external services is secured with HTTPS encryption to prevent interception. This includes:
- MerchAdsPro servers –Used for account authentication and license validation.
- Stripe API –Used to confirm your subscription status.
Your privacy and security are our top priorities. MerchAdsPro does not store or transmit unnecessary personal data.
Privacy Changes
If we change our privacy policy we will post those changes on this page. Registered users will be sent an email that outlines changes made to the privacy policy. Your continued use of MerchAdsPro after any changes to the Privacy Policy will indicate your acceptance of the updated terms.
